Hello!   I teach English for grades 8-12 at Sequoia Career Academy.  This is my tenth year teaching at Charter Academy of the Redwoods.  Feel free to email me with any questions or call Sequoia Career Academy to reach me.  My office hour is Monday from 3:45-4:45 PM. 

I have a Bachelor's Degree in English/Secondary Education from the University of Illinois and a Master's Degree in Technology:  Training & Development from Eastern Illinois University.  In addition to reading and writing, I teach students empathy, critical thinking, and communication skills to prepare them for the challenges they will face in life.  I believe that these skills help create thoughtful, proactive members of society.  In addition to teaching, I enjoy learning, traveling, music, and making the world a better place.
